Why isn’t any candy coming out?

Part of what makes a piñata fun is the danger. Sure, you could tell yourself that the true joy of the toy comes from the conclusion, when candy is released onto the ground, but if that were true, you would have just bought a bowl of candy!

Indeed, everyone knows that some of the best parts of the piñata experience are watching someone swing and miss, or seeing a kid lob a well-meaning adult in the shins while trying to smack the thing down.

Give an adult the bat, and those accidental bonks go from funny to hilarious.
