Hurricane Helene has ravaged much of the Southeastern United States. Now that the worst of the storm is over (we hope), many people are left picking up the pieces of their destroyed homes and arguing with their bosses about whether they really need to come into the office tomorrow if their car is stuck on their neighbor’s roof.

This woman was there through all of it, and as she watched her house get destroyed, her car get taken and her neighborhood be completely dismantled, she simply accepted defeat.
