Today is the day we've all been waiting for, a day when the moon will block out the sun and everyone is being totally normal about it. 

If you don't live near the path of totality, then you probably won't have much to see and so instead of feeling left out, check out this video of what a total solar eclipse actually looks like. Thankfully, a total solar eclipse passed over the United States in 2017 so we have relatively recent footage of the cosmic event. 

While the witches, the Christians, and the crazies all think today spells doom for humanity, the reality isn't all that much more interesting. It's just your run-of-the-mill cosmic event.
