Friday Morning Randomness: 45 Cool Randoms to Conclude Your Week
Congratulations, you've made it all the way to the end of another week. Did you ever think you would get here? As a congratulations, you've earned a click-through of these cool pics, memes, and tweets.
Two days ago, a photo of two New York City Police officers went viral on Twitter, after a subway rider exposed them for standing inattentively on their phones in front of an F train. "Would rather they just set my tax dollars on fire in front of me," @not_a_heather wrote in the tweet. The discrepancy in size between the two officers was quite a site to behold, and it's hard to imagine either of them stopping a highly trained criminal.
New York City has begun deploying a much higher police presence in the subway, which seems to involve half a dozen officers at a time crowding around turnstiles to nab fair hoppers, coupled with their surprise disappearance the moment anything remotely sketchy actually starts happening on a platform or train. It's hard to imagine them being less helpful on the subway than they are, and this photo exemplifies that. The MTA is insane if it thinks turnstile hoppers are the reason it's going under, and it's time the police started earning their salaries.
