For as long as humans have been on planet Earth, humans have liked to drink. But between Jan 17, 1920, and Dec 5, 1933, Americans were no longer allowed to drink legally thanks to the 18th Amendment.
Of course, people would continue to drink through speakeasies and black market sellers, but things wouldn't be the same until the Amendment was repealed.
Here are 22 photos of overjoyed drinkers celebrating their first legal sips of alcohol in 13 years. Boy, do these look like some fun parties.
