Be careful what you lean on.
Seventy-one-year-old Anne Hughes is a cleaner for the Best One liquor store in Pontypridd, South Wales. Recently, she decided to lean against the roll-up shutters of the store, unknowingly getting caught in them. Unfortunately, when the store decided to lift its shutters, Hughes got lifted with them — a moment captured on the store’s security camera.

I have cried actual tears watching this https://t.co/GxsFAvrfuy pic.twitter.com/4aoJzboqw0
“I was opening up the shop and I heard screaming so I opened the door and saw legs against the window,” said store manager Amed Akram to Dublin Live. “It took a couple of seconds for my brain to engage what was happening then when I realized the fob for the shutters was in the office so I had to go back.”
Thankfully, not only was Hughes okay, but she seemed to have kind of enjoyed the situation. “She was screaming and laughing at the same time, so she saw the funny side of it,” Akram said. The clip was later posted by the store to TikTok.
Unexpected hero of the story? The strong-ass coat that managed to hold Hughes as she was lifted into the air. They really don’t make things like they used to.
