One extremely festive son decided decking the halls wasn’t enough to get his family in the holiday spirit this year, hiring an entire band of old-timey Christmas carolers to follow his mother around her office, home and local grocery store armed with bonnets, fancy hats and an arsenal of classic seasonal songs.

While the group of carolers first surprised TikTok comedian and self-described “CatDad” Kurt Tocci’s mother at what appeared to be her office, eliciting smiles and giggles, she quickly discovered that this seasonal serenade was more than just a festive one-off after they reconvene at her home.

“Do you guys wanna stay for dinner?” she said with a laugh after they finished performing a version of “Deck the Halls.”

“You joke but they’re gonna follow you all day!” Tocci fired back, prompting a very concerned “what?!” from his mother.

Though at some points, their presence proved to be a little more cumbersome than cheerful, the quartet of singers breaking into a rendition “Silent Night” after Tocci’s mother asked them to quiet down while ordering at a drive-through, it appears she took their festivity in stride, a smile splashed across her face as they helped add a bit more holiday happiness into her day.

We can only hope that the creator’s mom ultimately landed some peace and quiet this Christmas season … and that those carolers got one hell of a holiday bonus.
