Typically, when Charlie Kirk is talking about aliens, he’s drumming up racist talking points about illegal immigrants. But over the weekend, the controversial conservative media personality may have encountered a different type of alien, though it’s unclear whether or not he wants them deported.


Kirk shared a video on Twitter that shows something flying above a plane he was on during a flight back from Wisconsin. Now, it may seem likely that it’s just another plane, but Trump’s loyal devotee claims that there was nothing showing up on the radar.


“I was flying back from Wisconsin on a friend’s plane tonight and got called up to the cockpit,” he tweeted. “The pilots were very confused at what they were seeing. Something was above them and not showing on radar. I’m sure there is a logical explanation here. Watch this video and tell me what I am missing.”



While Kirk doesn’t come right out and say it, the implication is clear: He thinks he’s witnessed a UFO. And this may be the first time I have ever agreed with him, mainly because strange lights in the sky are currently at an all-time high right now. Any attempt at secrecy seems to be flying out the window and the reveal that aliens are definitely here feels closer than ever.


Of course, some people just couldn’t resist raining on this extraterrestrial parade with logical explanations of what Kirk and company may have actually spotted.


“SSR radar (especially run of the mill) generally only goes to 60K feet, so if it is at least 80k feet that is why it is not showing up on the radar,” John Dawson wrote in a reply. “Could be many things. I will not pretend I know what it is but I did do research at the Air Force Research Laboratory in New Mexico and the USA has a lot of fun stuff they are not telling us about.”


Other skeptics said the lights were probably ‘[s]atellites that are reflecting sunlight as they rotate’ and one particularly well-adjusted fellow warned Kirk he ‘can’t help but think you’re being surveilled by something unknown within the U.S. government.’



We may never know what Kirk actually saw that night from the cockpit but personally? I want to believe. So I choose to view Kirk’s video as a heads up that the aliens are visiting more and more frequently and seem less concerned about being spotted by humans. At this rate, by 2025, they may land the mothership on the White House lawn to formally introduce themselves.
